Otoplasty, which usually takes about two or three hours, is performed under general anaesthesia. The small incisions affect the back of the auricle, so the scars will be microscopic and practically invisible.
When waking up, it is possible to see the presence of bruises, customary after each operation, but in this case, being a simple operation, they disappear in a few days. Finally, after a week spent with a bandage to protect the ears from possible infections, I meet the patient again for the removal of the stitches and to appreciate together the results of the surgery: proportionate ears, beautiful to see and in harmony with the whole face.
