When gynecomastia depends on the increase in the mammary gland, I proceed with its removal, if it depends on excess fat, and we are talking about the majority of cases, I proceed with liposuction surgery. In many cases where both conditions occur, it is possible to remove the mammary gland and aspirate the fat during the same operation in general with just a liposuction using special cannulas. When liposution is not enough i rarely use the open approach where a small incision is placed below the nipples to directly remove the glandular tissue.
In case the man presents skin excess or saggy breast I use in combination with surgery the use of Renuvion to give also skin retraction allowing maximum results. With this device I avoid performing the ‘breast reduction’ technique leaving big surgical scars in the male chest.
Upon awakening, the chest will present swelling and for protective purposes I recommend the use of an elastic band for about three weeks. For three days it is essential to rest . On the seventh day or so after the operation I will remove the stitches. From the fourth week, finally, the final results can be appreciated: a uniform chest with natural lines and a more harmonious and beautiful body.
