Blepharoplasty

The eyes are one of the areas of the face where the signs of aging are most visible. On the one hand, the skin loses its elasticity and facial muscles weaken, causing the upper eyelids to relax and fall out, and on the other hand, the accumulation of fat in the lower eyelids leads to the formation of bags under the eyes.

Men can also suffer from these imperfections and the aesthetic consequences that result from them: a tired, "aged" look that generates embarrassment and fear of not liking. You can get rid of this state of mind thanks to blepharoplasty, a treatment that affects the tissues of the eyelids of the eyes, giving them back their energy, lost, and also a new vitality to the glance.

The procedure

During the first visit, I try to understand how my patient would like to see his face, assess his state of health, clarify any doubts and also explain the possible risks.

In the case of the upper eyelid I make a small incision following its natural fold (along the lashes in the case of the lower eyelid), I separate the underlying tissue from the skin and eliminate or reposition the excess fat. I tension the skin, eliminate excess wrinkles and proceed with the suture.

Once the operation is concluded, the bruises and swelling will appear and disappear in a few days. A specific gel will be used in order to relieve discomfort and keeps the scars dry and clean until the stitches are removed. The stitches removal will be performed seven days after the operation. The scars will be minimal and with time will become very small white lines.

During the recovery period, about two weeks, it is important to rest, avoid physical strain and downward or forward bending.. At the end of this period, I will visit the patient again to make sure he is completely recovered and to appreciate the results achieved: more toned skin, a brighter look and a more attractive face.
